Monday

Please remember to bring comfortable walking shoes.

Tuesday

19.00 Barbecue at Agder University College with Beer Tasting

The local brewery “Nøgne Ø”  will be presented with interesting stories and taste samples.

Wednesday

19.00 Pick up at hotels

19.30 – 23.30 Strand Hotel Fevik: Conference Dinner

Enjoy a wonderful meal in the Neptun Hall at Strand Hotel Fevik. This is the place where Roald Dahl used to stay for his summer holidays, writing his famous stories.
The hotel is directly located on the beach, so if you would like to swim, don’t forget your swimsuit.

Thursday

17.30 Guided walk from Agder University College to the pier at “Torskeholmen”

18.00 – 23.00 Boattrip with MS Bibben

Today is the “St.John’s Eve”, the evening of midsummer celebration. Grimstad people traditionally celebrate this evening by  gathering in their decorated boats in the harbour, then going out to the islands for a picnic. Later  in the evening, bonfires will be lit along the coast.

Food and soft drinks will be provided. It is possible to bring your own fishing line, as well as to borrow one if you would like to fish. In any case: Bring warm clothes and a windproof jacket!

Please note: This event is not included in the conference fee. Sign up for the trip by paying NOK 150 when you register with the conference office.

Friday

There is no special program today, but we recommend going to the town centre. The shops in the town centre will be open until 11p.m. (instead of 4p.m.) and there will be lots of entertainment and bargains.
