Agder University College is located in the southern part of Norway, known as Sørlandet. With more than 8000 students and 850 teaching and administrative staff, it is one of the largest University Colleges in Norway. AUCs activities take place in three locations – Kristiansand, Grimstad and Arendal – with the main campus and central administration being situated in Kristiansand. The University College offers a wide variety of study programmes within Business and Economics, Engineering and Technology, the Humanities, Mathematics, Nursing, Teacher Education, Fine Arts and more. At the Grimstad campus, the Faculty of Engineering and Science offers Bachelor studies within Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, as well as Master of Science programmes in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Industrial and Information Management. In addition, the Faculty of Engineering and Science offers a PhD-programme in ICT, in cooperation with other Norwegian and foreign universities. The Faculty of Engineering and Science is highly competent in the areas of Renewable Energy, ICT and Mechatronics, and collaborates closely with other academic institutions and private and public enterprises.
