Research:

My current research is in applied information management and service innovation. I have studied  new services in electronic commerce in general and in electronic banking in particular. Focus has been on consumer behavior, individual information processing  and cognition. For the past years I have been involved in several projects focusing mobile services including organisation of mobile service development and consumer adoption of mobile services. In a most recent project I am working with service innovation in heterogeneous networks.

A list of projects may be found at the website: emarkets.nhh.no. The portfolio of past and current projects include the Multimedia Banking Project, several online toruism services projects, The project termed "Mobile and Channel Integrating Electronic Commerce", the "Move" project (see www.moveweb.no) and the "Consuming Digital Adventure Oriented Services" project (see sifo.no/digiadvent/). I also participate in projects organized by the Research Council of Norway to improve our understanding of service innovation and service development.

Among the currently ongoing projects I am involved in are:

  • Debussy - Designing Business Models for Customer Value in Heterogeneous Network Services

  • TIPVIS - Service innovation in graphics arts

I have previously published in areas such as: Cognitive science, connectionism and neural network research, data mining and modern nonparametric methods, experimental methodology. In particular I have worked with developing cognitive models of and for financial diagnosis - the task perfomed by financial analysts when characterizing a company based upon information from the financial statements.

A list of some recent and previous publications is found on my publications page.
